SCOTT ROTHSTEIN
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING - NYC Metro/Mid-Atlantic
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with carriers throughout the Property and Casualty marketplace.
Scott specializes in helping clients by negotiating comprehensive and competitive coverage programs that will provide them with the greatest value and benefit. He takes great care in understanding each business’ unique situation and goals before formulating a customized solution.
With nearly 15 years of experience, Scott began his career in the commercial insurance industry as a Producer in 2007. It was during this time that Scott honed his expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive and competitive insurance programs for his clients who spanned many industries. Scott has a strong desire to build long, lasting relationships and in 2020, he brought his expertise and dedication to M&T when he joined Brokerage Placement.
Scott earned a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Monmouth University. He also holds the New Jersey insurance licensure for Property, Casualty, Accident and Health Lines of Authority.
Scott is an active advocate for his clients and his community; being named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation in 2012. A native New Jerseyan, Scott’s life outside of the office is spent with his wife Jessica, and his two children, Myles and Allie.
JAMIE CUTLER
REAL ESTATE & CONSTRUCTION PRACTICE GROUP LEADER
Dedicated to creating and implementing sophisticated insurance and risk management programs to clients across the country.
Jamie is a multifaceted commercial insurance professional who brings deep industry and leadership expertise to a specialized insurance team focused on new business development and account management for Commercial Real Estate & Construction Clients/Projects across the United States.
The MTIA team and clients benefit from Jamie’s 26 years of experience in the insurance industry, including extensive knowledge implementing sophisticated insurance and risk management programs for owners, managers and developers. He also has deep expertise in program management for Management Liability and Mergers & Acquisitions coverages.
Prior to joining MTIA, Jamie spent 13 years at Willis Tower Watson in New York City where he was an Executive Vice President and leader of a top-tier production team. Prior to that, Jamie was a Director at Wachovia Insurance Services and a Senior Vice President at Aon Corporation.
Jamie is a veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps from 1988-1992.
TOM DELARK
REGIONAL MARKET LEADER & BROKERAGE PRACTICE LEADER
Multi-disciplined insurance professional with deep roots in operational excellence as well as technical expertise.
As MTIA’s Regional Market Leader, Tom oversees regional business performance in the NYC metro area, using leadership and operational excellence to manage the agency’s sales of property and casualty insurance and surety bonds. Leveraging his strong technical insurance expertise and senior level carrier relationships, he uses his knowledge and experience to assist commercial clients with risk management by identifying programs that align with the clients’ intricate needs.
In his role as Brokerage Practice Leader, Tom is responsible for managing carrier relationships, product development, and implementing strategic insurance placement initiatives to provide better solutions to clients and prospects.
Prior to joining M&T, Tom served as the Chief Marketing Officer for HUB International Limited, a leading North American insurance brokerage, for the Northeast Region and National Real Estate Practice, responsible for carrier management and strategic placement initiatives. Preceding HUB, Tom served various roles at both Marsh and Aon and most recently was a Managing Director in Aon’s GRIP Solutions division (now Inpoint), which provides carriers with analytical insights regarding their underwriting capabilities and advice to help them better understand client needs.
Tom lives in Pennington, NJ with his wife and two children. In addition to spending time with his family, Tom enjoys boating, fishing and golfing.
Tom has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Penn State University and a Masters in Business from the Fox School of Business at Temple University.
JENNIFER LAPERA
REAL ESTATE & CONSTRUCTION PRACTICE CASUALTY PLACEMENT LEADER
Responsible for creating optimal program design and structure, negotiating the most competitive pricing and terms in the property and casualty marketplace.
Jennifer is responsible for managing casualty insurance placement, program design & strategy for our Real Estate & Construction practice out of our New York City office.
Jen has an extensive background in the insurance industry. Before joining M&T, she was served as a Senior Vice President at Marsh & McLennan placing complex casualty for their private equity placement group. She has managed large diverse book of business both guaranteed cost and loss sensitive.
Jennifer is licensed in all 50 states and holds a bachelors degree in marketing from Long Island University.
She lives at home on Long Island with her husband and two young children, Liv & Jack.
