Commercial Cards

In the coming months, your People’s United accounts and services will transition to M&T Bank, including your Commercial Card Program. Learn what you can expect for your Commercial Card transition.

Important Commercial Card dates and transition steps

Your People’s United Mastercard® Commercial Cards will be replaced with new M&T Bank Visa® Commercial Cards. The cards will have a new card number, expiration date and CVV2 value.

    JUNE

    • Complete and return the cardholder information request that was emailed to you and confirm your organization’s correct mailing address for the new M&T Commercial Cards
    • If you did not receive this request via email, please contact People’s United Commercial Credit Card Customer Service at 1-800-441-4025 (the number on the back of your card), and select option 2, Monday—Friday 8am—5pm ET

    JULY

    • You’ll receive a letter outlining Change in Terms (7/1)
    • Refrain from issuing cards to new employees (7/1)
    • You’ll receive information via email from M&T Bank. Please note: M&T will NOT request personal information from you by email unless you initiated the contact first
    • New M&T Commercial Cards with new account numbers will be shipped beginning the week of 7/20 in a package for all cardholders on file  to the address we have on file
    • Begin distributing the new M&T Cards to cardholders

    EARLY AUGUST

    • If you have not received your new M&T Commercial Cards by August 10, please contact M&T Customer Service at 1-800-443-8671 Option 2 
    • You’ll receive login information for CentreSuite®
    • Live training sessions and training videos will be available online
    • Review and distribute training materials to cardholders and admins
    • Update recurring payments with new M&T card information 
    • Be sure to export/download your previous statements and run final reports from eZBusiness as this system will be shut down on the end of the day August 18
    • Use eZBusiness for Card Management through the end of the day August 18 
    • Use eZCard for Cardholders through the end of the day  August 18
    • Download the CentreSuite mobile app from the App Store® or Google Play

    FRIDAY, AUGUST 19

    • Your commercial card program transitions to M&T Bank
    • Use the People’s United Mastercard® Cards through the end of the day

    SATURDAY, AUGUST 20

    • Begin using new the new M&T Bank Visa® Cards
    • Stop using the Peoples United Mastercard Cards

     

  •  

    MONDAY, AUGUST 22

    • Begin using CentreSuite for card management and statements and accounts
    • Begin contacting M&T Bank for customer service questions

    AUGUST—SEPTEMBER

    • You’ll be able to access your first statement from M&T Bank via CentreSuite
    • Weekly CentreSuite Administrator training sessions will be available through the end of September 

Card program administrators

Please distribute the new M&T Cards to cardholders before transition weekend, August 19, 2022.

Additional Important Information

 

  • The Card product is a non-revolving line of credit with no interest accrual. A late fee in the amount of the greater of 2% of the outstanding Card obligations or $25 shall apply for late payments.
  • The M&T Commercial One Card offers Travel Accident Insurance. Please refer to the Visa Agreement enclosed with the plastic for more details.
  • M&T Commercial Cards expire every 2 years.
  • The M&T cards are Chip and PIN enabled and offer Tap to pay- Contactless ability.
  • Apple Wallet, Google Wallet and Samsung Pay are also available. You must re-enroll with the M&T card.
  • To change card PIN via IVR 1-800-443-8671 option 6.
  • During card activation, you will be prompted to choose your PIN when a replacement or reissued card is received.
