As you get closer to transition weekend, we are here to guide you with the key dates and actions to take with your current account.

Transition weekend is September 2 - 5

Here are important steps to take now.

  • Make sure you know your People's United Company ID, User ID and password. You'll use them to log in to M&T Mobile and Online Banking for Business for the first time
  • Confirm your email and contact information are up to date online. We’ll be sending you updates on M&T Mobile and Online Banking for Business, including instructions on how to log in for the first time
  • Review your bill payments and transfers. If you need to update any bill payments, please make arrangements prior to September 2, 2022. After September 2, 2022, you will not be able to schedule, update or edit any bill payments until M&T Mobile and Online Banking for Business become available
  • Save or print your online statements and documents. People's United online statements and documents will not be viewable through M&T Online Banking for Business. However, you will be able to view up to 18 months of transaction history for your checking and savings accounts by logging in to M&T Online Banking for Business
  • Make a plan for your transfers. If you have any transfers scheduled within eTreasury+, they will not automatically migrate. After transition weekend, transfers can be scheduled through M&T Mobile or Online Banking for Business

M&T Direct Connect

Link your M&T accounts with your Intuit's Quicken® or QuickBooks® personal financial management software.

M&T BizPay

Use M&T BizPay to manage and pay your business expenses using real-time payments, ACH and wire transfers.

M&T Bank's M&T BizPay service are provided subject to M&T Bank's Master Treasury Management Services Agreement or the M&T Digital Services Agreement, as applicable. All products and services are subject to eligibility and restrictions may apply. 

M&T Bill Pay

Schedule one-time or recurring bill payments from your checking account.

M&T Online  and Mobile Bill Pay cannot be used to make payments: (i) to payees located outside the United States; (ii) to taxing authorities or other government entities; (iii) required under court order (e.g. child support); or (iv) in connection with any unlawful activity or purpose. 

M&T Alerts

Stay informed with various business credit card alerts at M&T.

M&T Bank Alerts are available for your M&T Card through M&T Online Banking. Suspicious activity alerts notify customers of certain potentially fraudulent activity on their M&T Card. Alerts are designed to be a helpful account management tool, but they do not identify all potential fraudulent activity and are not a substitute for security and fraud precautions including, but not limited to, verifying statements and being aware of your outstanding payments and available balance. For your protection, “suspicious activity” and “card PIN change” email alerts cannot be disabled. M&T Bank is not liable for any losses customers may incur due to an alert not being delivered. Your mobile carrier's text messaging and data charges may apply.

M&T Mobile Banking

You can use the M&T Mobile Banking App to manage your accounts on your mobile device.

M&T Flash Funds®

Provides the option, for a fee, to make an eligible mobile deposit immediately available for withdrawals or purchases.

Deposits are subject to verification. Funds not available for immediate withdrawal. Deposit limits and other terms, conditions, fees and restrictions may apply. Business day is defined as Monday through Friday, except Federal Holidays. 
If selected, your mobile deposit will be immediately available. The fee for this service is 2% of the total check amount ($2 minimum charge). The fee will be deducted from your account following the completion of your deposit. If the deposit is made during our nightly processing, it will not be available to pay debit items that are processed for payment during that night’s processing. However, it would be immediately available for withdrawal.

Below are answers to some of your questions.

Payments set up under the eBills service can be scheduled using M&T Bill Pay.

NOTE: When scheduling a bill payment, the funds will be withdrawn based on the date the bill payment is to be delivered to the payee (“Delivery Date”).

If you previously made credit card and loan payments using Online Bill Pay, you can schedule an internal transfer completed from an M&T checking or savings account to make M&T credit card and M&T loan payments

You will be able to complete a majority of your banking needs for your personal accounts, including paying bills, scheduling transfers and viewing transaction history. You will not be able to view your eStatements or manage Alerts for your personal account(s) through Mobile or Online Banking for Business. 

  • To view eStatements for your personal accounts, log in to Online Banking and go to View Statements and Notices from the Accounts menu
  • To manage Alerts for your personal accounts, log in to the M&T Mobile Banking App and tap “M&T Alerts” from the menu or log in to Online Banking and go to M&T Bank Alerts in the Services menu

Paper copies of historical electronic statements for current or closed accounts can be requested, for a fee, post-conversion, by calling us at 1-866-632-4512, visiting a branch, or sending us a secure message through M&T Online Banking for Business.

If you have an M&T Business Credit Card, you can choose to receive alerts via email, text or app notification on account activity. Business checking and savings accounts are not currently eligible for M&T Alerts.

eStatements

Keep your business information out of the mail and easily accessible. 

Storage for electronic statements if accessed via M&T Online Banking: up to 7 years for checking, savings, CDs, credit cards, installment loans, lines of credit, mortgages and home equity accounts. For most accounts, by enrolling in M&T's online statements and notices, you will no longer receive paper statements. You may, however, switch back to paper at any time.
