Welcome to M&T Bank. Below are key dates and important actions to take to prepare for your transition to M&T Bank.
Transition weekend is coming September 2 - 5
Here are important steps to take now.
- Make sure you know your People's United User ID and password. You'll use them to log in to M&T Mobile and Online Banking for the first time
- Confirm your email and contact information are up to date online. We’ll be sending you updates on M&T Mobile and Online Banking, including instructions on how to log in for the first time
- Review your bill payments and transfers. If you need to update any bill payments or transfers, please make arrangements prior to September 2, 2022. After September 2, 2022, you will not be able to schedule, update or edit any bill payments or transfers until M&T Mobile and Online Banking become available
- Save or print your online statements and documents. People's United online statements and documents will not be viewable through M&T Online Banking. However, you will be able to view up to 18 months of transaction history for your checking and savings accounts by logging in to M&T Online Banking.

Below are answers to some of your questions.
How do I view my Zelle send limits?
You can view your daily and 30-day limits in the payment screen by selecting the question mark next to "Limits". A text box will appear to show the remaining amount available for sending in the current 24-hour period. Send limits are set by M&T Bank.
If I use Personal Finance at People’s United, is there a similar service at M&T Bank?
Yes, M&T Money Smart helps you plan your finances with tools to track spending, create a budget, manage cashflow, set goals and more.
Are there online tools to help me stay informed about my accounts?
You can choose to receive alerts via email, text or app notification. You will automatically be enrolled in two security alerts—Suspicious activity & PIN changed—which you will receive via email. You can also enroll in a range of optional alerts.
What tools are available for me to pay my loans and other bills?
Payments set up under the eBills service can be scheduled using M&T Bill Pay.
NOTE: When scheduling a bill payment, the funds will be withdrawn based on the date the bill payment is to be delivered to the payee (“Delivery Date”).
If you previously made credit card and loan payments using Online Bill Pay, you can schedule an internal transfer completed from and M&T checking or savings account to make M&T credit card and M&T loan payments.
